My Color Palette acknowledges that everyone has their own gender spectrum. The series was created by photographer Kyle Jackson as a celebration of the diversity in contemporary gender roles.
The catalog of portraits features lesbian, gay, bisexual, straight, transgender, drag, and gender non-conforming individuals who feel empowered by their gender freedom. The gamut of personalities transcends the binary confines of masculinity and femininity. The result is a series showcasing gender empowerment, pride, and self-acceptance.
The project has been awarded in the Photo District News Photo Annual 2013 and has been featured in a variety of installations across the country.
There’s no denying the beauty that exists when everyone is free to embrace their true colors.
Let’s capture it.
